About the Authors

Susan F. Blair is the author of A Howling, her second collection of poems. She founded and edits The Shrub-Steppe Poetry Journal, writes a monthly column, "Poetry Matters," for The Good Life magazine, and hosts "Third Thursday Poetry," an open mic event in Wenatchee, Washington.

Rick Campbell is a poet and essayist living on Alligator Point, Florida. He has published eight volumes of poems, most recently Fish Streets before Dawn with Press 53. He's won a Pushcart Prize and an NEA Fellowship in Poetry. He teaches in the University of Nevada-Reno's MFA program.

Jackie Craven writes poetry and prose steeped in magical realism. Her second book-length collection, WHISH, won the 2024 Press 53 Award for Poetry. She lives in Schenectady, New York; Cocoa Beach, Florida; and on Zoom where she hosts a long-standing open mic for writers.

Marc Harshman has served as Poet Laureate of West Virginia since 2012. He has published fourteen children's books and ten collections of poems, including Following the Silence with Press 53. He has recently been commissioned to write a poem to celebrate the 40th anniversary of NPR's Mountain Stage.
