Become a Volunteer
Bookmarks cannot accomplish anything without our team of dedicated volunteers! Thank you to everyone who continues to devote their time and energy into making Bookmarks a beneficial organization for our entire community.
Join us on Thursday, December 14 at 7 p.m. or Thursday, January 18 at 12:30 p.m. for our hour-long New Volunteer Orientation. Please contact Ginger Hendricks so we know you are attending!
There are various ways you can get involved with Bookmarks. We have monthly meetings for a variety of committees that help to plan Bookmarks' events and activities. We also have opportunities to help with Author Talks and Authors in Schools throughout the year as well as in Bookmarks' nonprofit independent bookstore and gathering place that opened in July 2017. Please e-mail us if you are interested in learning more about volunteering throughout the year with Bookmarks. We welcome the help and support!
There are great perks to being a Bookmarks volunteer! Volunteers are the first to know about upcoming events and are the first to sign up to help with certain activities. Volunteers are also invited to our private Opening Reception held the night before the Festival.

We cannot produce the Festival and our author events without the many volunteers who help us. We have 150 Festival volunteers and many additional volunteers (listed below) who help us year round.
